Jungle Trekking II

Location:Taman Rimba Commonwealth
Date:19 September, 2009
Time:8.00am - 12.00pm
Distance:1.4 km

All neighbors arrived around 8.00am...
Participants were required to register themselves before starting the trekking...
More than 30 participants took part.

Warm up exercise was conducted by Uncle Asram followed by briefing on the do's and don't while trekking by Hj Mangsor.


"Participants need to be extra careful especially at rocky area. It might be slippery since it was raining the previous night.
The motto is 'Take Nothing but Photograph, Leave Nothing but Footprint'


The participants for the trekking were later divided into 3 groups with the first being led by En Asram,
the second group by En Fazli
and the the last by Hj Naser.
Each group were accompanied by 2 forest rangers.


There were 15 stops along the forest trail
Pitstop 1-Kapur Tree
Pitstop 2-Herbal Tree(Kacip Fatimah & Tongkat Ali)
Pitstop 3-Fern
Pitstop 4-Terap Nasi Tree
Pitstop 5-Sarang Semut
Pitstop 6-Lartex Tree
Pitstop 7-Simpoh Gajah
Pitstop 8-Bertam
Pitstop 9-Climbers
Pitstop10-Meranti Tembaga
Pitstop11-Palm
Pitstop12-Keranji
Pitstop13-Jelutong
Pitstop14-Waterfall
Pitstop15-Bamboo
The most interesting stop was the waterfalls. Even Hj Naser cannot resist the temptation to have a quick shower here.

We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and hope the association could organize similar activities in the future.

Assalamualaikum: This is a good start for Templer Heritage Residents Association. Let us have this site to be as imformative and interactive as possible. The first task for our Secretary & Asst Secretary is to start inviting all other residents to join in.

As for the Jngle Trekking, Yes I enjoyed it very much. We have 37 participants for the trekking and about 50 more enjoying themselves in the picnic area.

To Sasha & Hj Mangsor, please have all the names correctly posted. By the way my full name is Ahmad Naser Baharom.
